General Forum Rules

Hello and welcome to Voices from the Outer Ring.
Before we begin, there needs to be a set of ground rules put down so we know what is okay and what isn't. Most of these will be considered common sense, but I believe there is value in mentioning all of the rules so there is no doubt or question of what is okay and what is now. Rules will be added or changed as we deem necessary.
Rule #1: No Extreme Content
This is a writing/role playing forum. I expect there to be profanity, I expect there to be racy scenes, and I expect to hear a lot of nine-year-olds giggling about both. However, there are limits. Explicit gore or violence, sexual or otherwise, is forbidden. Naturally, any portrayals of minors in sexual situations is forbidden, and posts containing pornography will be deleted and the poster banned. This is your only warning.
Rule #2: Harassment & Bullying
This is a mature forum and I expect everyone to be respectful to others. Any instances of harassment, bullying, or otherwise being a cunt will be frowned upon and you will receive a formal warning. If you refuse to learn to be respectful, we will ban you, and we won't feel the least bit sorry for you.
Racism, sexism, or extreme prejudice of any kind will result in an instant ban. You will not be warned. You will be gone. Keep it in your pants.
Rule #3: Plagiarism
The stealing of someone else's work is literally illegal. There are copyright laws in place that protect a writer's work from those who would think to steal it, so as long as you have solid proof of your ownership you should not fear plagiarism. We shouldn't need to tell you that it is forbidden here as well, and proven instances will result in a permanent revocation of your writing privileges.
Rule #4: Spam/Advertising/Promotions
Spamming general chat or any other topic is generally frowned upon and will make your mods upset, so don't do it. Advertising products or promoting illegal activities is a bannable offense and will be taken seriously. Additionally, the sharing of personal information comes as not recommended. This forum is NOT a secure site and you should not be sharing personal information with strangers on the internet in the first place, so please, please, please do not post any information you are not comfortable telling the rest of the internet and all its crazy inhabitants about. Not even in DM's.
Rule #5: Grammar
We are a writing forum. We expect everyone to be capable of being grammatically correct most of the time, however we can still be lenient in this case if you just want to be lazy every once in a while. Just make sure you still write in complete sentences and leave numbers out of your words, please.
Rule #6: Politics
This is not the place for your political agendas. Everyone here is an individual with different tastes, ideas, and beliefs. Be respectful of others and others will be respectful of you. Mentions of politics, religion, or activism will be deleted and the user warned. This place should be an escape from the political climates of the world, not a source of it, and we would like it to remain that way.
